Troop 39 families.

I wanted to grab your attention to make you aware of a very special event for Troop 39 which will be held next Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the church in the Fellowship Hall:

Sam Stargel’s Eagle ceremony. As you know, the Eagle is the highest rank a Boy Scout can attain and requires a tremendous amount of hard work and determination. Even though Sam joined the troop later than many scouts (in 9th grade), he set a goal and fulfilled it.   We are very proud of this accomplishment.

Normally, Eagle ceremonies take place during our regular Courts of Honor, three times a year (Oct., Feb., and May). As you may remember, Sam graduated from Carrboro High in June and is now a freshman at Clemson University.   He will be home for Fall break next weekend, so that is when we are able to hold his ceremony.  Please attend this special event if you can.

Cake and punch will be served. Please e-mail me your RSVP by Weds. with a total number attending. THANK YOU!
