Back in 2013, Nate FitzSimons went to the BSA National Jamboree. He came back with a camp bucket! I liked the idea and bought two – one for me and one for TomTom. I take mine on nearly every camping trip I go on (unless I am backpacking).
The bucket is a regular 5 gallon bucket and a Gamma Seal lid. These are great simple ways to store your gear at camp:
- portable
- lightweight
- water and air tight
- doubles as a camp seat
- colourful combinations
What you need:
- 5 gallon bucket (about $3 from Lowes or Home Depot)
- Gamma seal lid (about $7-10 available from Lowes, online or HomeDepot)
You can also make a padded seat cushion that you can keep in the bucket when not using the bucket as a seat! Also, its great for your sticker collection and you can look back at all teh great outings you have been on!
