   Thanks so much for including me on the electronic mailing list for the latest information/video about Troop 39.

   I joined 39 in the fall of 1940 at the age of 12 and later served as Scribe for at least two years.  I remember the merger of Troop 9 with 39 and the new name Joseph Hyde Pratt Troop, which we adopted for a time.  My brother Ed(ward), who lives west of Chapel Hill, was also a member and advanced into the ranks of the Explorers.  He tells me that in recent years he&#039;s rendered occasional service to the Troop.
